Rock of Love Reunion - OMG I LOVE JES!!

Ok, so I will admit - every year I get sucked into a reality TV show. Most often it is a celebrity auctioning their love off on television. This year, Rock of Love should get an award: Best TV Realiity Reunion.

It was amazing. Brett sees Heather and they just hit it off immediately. Jes is watching backstage and hadn't seen Brett since she won the final show. It was clear to the world Brett and Heather are still in love. Jes is called out onstage and sees Brett for the first time. Their body language is AWKWARD... I was freaking out thinking she was gonna freak out or feel stupid - I don't know, it was crazy! So then, Jes - GRACE UNDER PRESSURE JES *ALWAYS* does the right thing! The interviewer asks her how that whole scene just affected her and she looks at Brett and says "Well, I think you made the wrong choice"

He was taken aback - as was America! (err - the audience, i mean)... Jes goes on to explain that it is clear they really had the bond and from the bottom of her heart told Brett he needs to be with the right girl...

The reunion ended with Jes and Heather embracing and crying. It was amazing. I love this is gives the show so much better closure. We all wanted Heather to win but it seemed wrong to make someone with such an admirable moral highground lose. Everyone won!

This blog is dedicated to the 3 minutes of nonsense millions of viewers watch every day. The nonsense I speak of can be found on none other than YouTube. I watch it, you watch, grandma watches it... but why?

Well our obsession with Hollywood is an obvious factor.

So my real question is this: how come videos like this:



make the top views list? Ok, ok so it has that whole "sex sells" aspect to it...




but what about this one:



?




How did his vlog get so popular? I agree it is funny, but did he market it like crazy? Was it a slow word of mouth process? What is it that made so many individual web browsers discover Chris Crocker at the same time?

His jump to fame happened so fast that the news of his upcoming TV show was SO last week...

To some there may be some actual reasons why some peoples personal web blogs and video pages get millions of hits and the rest of ours get a few uninterested yawns. To me it seems like it is sheer luck. But I do believe there has got to be some method to it that I am missing.

I'd love to understand the minds of you web-surfers out there. Someone, please tell me? Because I don't hear about these web-celebs until they make it onto TV...
